2012 Season
Founded in the spring of 2007 by Jared Emmons and Commissioner Koby Keck, the Old
Republic Whiffle Ball League stumbled through its first year, finishing without a champion.
Despite the early struggles, the league has grown into the top slow-pitch league in the nation.
ORWBL enters its sixth season of play this summer, with Opening Day slated for May 30.
The Old Republic Whiffle Ball League is a slow pitch whiffleball league based in New Carlisle, Indiana, founded in 2007. ORWBL operates
the Championship of Whiffleball and the New Carlisle Whiffleball Hall of Fame. The league has no affiliation with the Old Republic or
Historic New Carlisle, Inc. The league holds no legal trademarks, and the names, nicknames, logos, uniform designs, color combinations,
and all other team related content are the property/responsibility of the respective ORWBL club. World Series, American League, National
League, Division Series, League Championship Series, and All-Star Game are trademarks of Major League Baseball.

Emery's Army enters the 2012 season as the defending National League
Division Champions. However, an early exit in the postseason at the
hands of the last-place Bombers left Eric Johnson's squad with an empty
feeling after the 2011 campaign. Meanwhile in the Maple City, the Magic
have great expectations after some major offseason moves. Capitalizing
on the momentum of an Elite Eight appearance in the City Championship,
Alex Friedman landed Drew Luther and Shane Anderson of the NL
Champion Federalists.
