2019 WORLD SERIES

Maple City Magic Complete 3-Peat

The New Carlisle Newts and Maple City Magic met squared off for the 3rd time in 4 years as one of the best rivalries in ORWBL history was renewed. It was easily one of the most intense and competitive World Series we have ever seen.  The Newts, playing in their league record 8th World Series were also searching for a league high of 4 titles.  Meanwhile, Maple City was looking to match their rivals with a 3rd Championship and get a 3-peat.  In such an intense, top tier wiffleball series, 4 out of the 6 games were decided by 3 runs or less as well as two 1 run games.  The 2019 World Series did not disappoint!  The ORWBL World Series has crowned the ORWBL Champions every year since 2008. WORLD SERIES HISTORY

2019 ALL-STAR GAME

NL Wins in Wet Conditions

For the second consecutive season, the National League emerged from the All-Star Game victorious. Tyler Shupert of the Scottsdale Sluggers turned a double play to end the game in the National League's favor, 17-15. Shupert was named the All-Star Game's Most Valuable Player for his efforts. Prior to the nine-inning game, Billy Goats outfielder Lucas Oletti won his 1st Home Run Derby. In a first for the league, All-Star festivities were not held at Migley Field. Thanks to rainy conditions, the affair was moved to the nearby Playground Commons, a marquee field during the  Wiffle®Ball Championship. ALL-STAR GAME HISTORY
