NEW CARLISLE- With the commissioner's announcement of a new way of electing people into the Hall of Fame, 20 voters voted for the 2019 Hall of Fame class. Despite some being close, there will be no 1st Ballot Hall of Famers as none of the candidates reached the 75% required mark. Three players were very close as Adam Rehlander missed out on the Hall of Fame by 1 vote. Seth Shail was not that far off as he was 2 votes away while the single season Home Run record king, Nick Arndt needed 3 more votes. Brycen Strauch buys Golden Showers franchise, changes the team name to Union Mills Goon Squad

UNION MILLS- After a 3-21 inaugural season in 2018, the Gardena Golden Showers were struggling to find guys to shower up. With concerns inside management growing, Manager Caleb Martin contacted the league office. Just one day later, a group led by Brycen Strauch purchased the franchise. Strauch and his players have competed in the Hometown Days Tournament and will now be looking to see what they can accomplish in the Old Republic Wiffleball League. NEW CARLISLE- After months of thinking time, one of the top free agents left on the market Anthony Rieff has decided to take his talents to Saugany Lake where his brother Austin also signed a couple of months ago. Rieff won a World Series back with the Cult West Warriors before managing the South Bend Sour Chicken Muffs in 2016 and the South Bend Muffs in 2018. In 2017, Rieff played a key role in helping the Maple City Magic win their 1st ORWBL World Series title as he was named World Series MVP. Rieff also has a Rookie of the Year award to his name.
