Lawrence finally takes home Cy Young
NEW CARLISLE - With the ninth season of the Old Republic Wiffle Ball League in the books, the league will recognize its top performers of this past season. Jake Lawrence of Rolling Prairie Emery's Army has been named 2015 ORWBL Cy Young Award winner.
Lawrence was the unquestioned general of the Army, which had its best season in the franchise's long history in 2015. The 18-6 mark by Rolling Prairie was a higher winning percentage than even its 2011 division title season. EA

Webb takes home Rookie of the Year
NEW CARLISLE - With the ninth season of the Old Republic Wiffle Ball League in the books,
the league will recognize its top performers of this past season. Jasen Webb of the Saugany
Lake White Lightning has been named 2015 ORWBL Rookie of the Year. There was no learning curve for Webb in his first season in the league. The White Lightning
star was third in the ORWBL with a .623 batting average. He also belted 35 home runs. His
37 RBI is likely an under-reported statis


EA wins inaugural F&A Gold Cup
LA PORTE - Rolling Prairie has a wiffleball championship to call its own. Emery's Army took down the Maple City Magic, 14-5, in the title game of the inaugural Friedman & Associates Invitational. The team of Eric Johnson, Jake Lawrence, Ryan Murphy, and tournament MVP Matt Serge finished off the long day by defeating the host team.
