Migley to host 2016 All-Star Game
NEW CARLISLE- Once again, Migley Field will be the site of the ORWBL All-Star Game, as both the league and the ballpark celebrate milestones this summer. The famed ballpark has played host to the previous nine All-Star Games dating back to 2007. With the Friendly Confines commemorating its 10th anniversary this summer and the league marking its tenth season, ORWBL Commissioner Alex Friedman said Migley was the natural choice for the All-Star festivities. Newts improving historic ballpark
NEW CARLISLE - Fans visiting Migley Field will notice some changes to the league's most historic ballpark this season. The New Carlisle Newts have unveiled plans to upgrade many
areas of the park. The team will dramatically increase seating capacity and promote the
Newts brand with the improvements.
Most notably, a 27-seat grandstand will be added to the third base side. This project will
raise capacity of the park from 16 to 43. The new seats will provide additional
Ballparks to host tournament games
NEW CARLISLE- New Carlisle Hometown Days has announced that City Championship games will be played at two Old Republic Wiffle Ball League ballparks this summer. The
Palace of Bourissa Hills, home of the Pterodactyls, and Migley Field, home of the Newts, will
be used for the 8th annual tournament.
The Palace, part of the New Prairie Little League complex, will host pool play games on
Saturday, July 28 and early rounds of the single elimination finals on Sunday, July 29.
Migley Field to host 2012 All-Star Game
NEW CARLISLE- For the sixth consecutive year, Migley Field will host the Old Republic Wiffle Ball League All-Star Game. The decision was made by the league owners, with Migley
beating out the Grassy Knoll, 7-3. The home of the New Carlisle Newts has been the site of
every All-Star Game since the league's inception in 2007.
The 2012 All-Star Game will take place on Friday, June 29 at approx. 7:35pm ET. The stars of
