

Lawrence finally takes home Cy Young
NEW CARLISLE - With the ninth season of the Old Republic Wiffle Ball League in the books, the league will recognize its top performers of this past season. Jake Lawrence of Rolling Prairie Emery's Army has been named 2015 ORWBL Cy Young Award winner.
Lawrence was the unquestioned general of the Army, which had its best season in the franchise's long history in 2015. The 18-6 mark by Rolling Prairie was a higher winning percentage than even its 2011 division title season. EA
Serge unanimous Cy Young
NEW CARLISLE - With the eighth season of the Old Republic Wiffle Ball League in the books, the league will recognize its top performers of this past season. Matt Serge of the
New Carlisle Newts has been named 2014 Cy Young award winner.
Already one of the most decorated players in ORWBL history with his ticket to the Hall of Fame
already punched, Serge's illustrious career has taken on a second life with Newts. This is
Serge's second Cy Young award, previously winning
Anderson, Stainko win Cy Young
NEW CARLISLE- Pitching in a slow-pitch wiffleball league is no easy task, especially over the past few seasons, when Old Republic Wiffle Ball League teams put up beyond-video-
game offensive numbers. However, a few pitchers stood out this season. Voted on by the
league’s managers, the top pitcher from the American and National Leagues were awarded
the Cy Young.

numbers. However, a few pitchers stood out this season. Voted on by the league’s

NEW CARLISLE- As evident from many of the inflated Earned Run Averages around the Old Republic Wiffle Ball League, it is no easy task to pitch in a slow-pitch wiffleball league.
However, Matt Serge of South Bend and Tony Koch of Wills Township were able to put
together campaigns on the mound worthy of Cy Young recognition.
Serge narrowly edged out teammate Bob Ellam (2010 AL Cy Young) for this year's honor in
the American League. Ellam put together another fine season
