AL sweeps NL as All Star Game returns to Migley
NEW CARLISLE- After rain forced All Star festivities to The Playground Commons in 2019, the All Star Game returned to its usual home of Migley Field. With the wind howling straight in, runs were extremely hard to come by from start to finish. Despite the wind howling in, 13 ORWBL sluggers battled it out in hopes of winning the Home Run Derby. Home Runs were very hard to come by with the wind blowing in around 15 mph at times. 2020 ORWBL All Star teams announced
The 2020 ORWBL All Star Game is almost here as we are less than a week away! After rain forced us off of Migley last year, the All Star game returns to historic Migley Field as the AL and NL will square off in a Best of 3 series. The Home Run Derby will begin at 6pm ET as all 14 teams will have a representative. All 14 players will have 1 minute to hit as many Home Runs as they can. Mechanics Advance to NLCS
OLIVE TOWNSHIP - The two-seeded Olive Township Mechanics (16-8) advanced to the National League Championship Series after defeating the three-seeded Elkhart BFAM (19-5) in two games. 2019 Home Run Derby Participants Announced
NEW CARLISLE- Prior to the All Star Game, the 13th ORWBL Home Run Derby will take place starting at 6:00pm ET on Saturday, June 15th. Maple City's Jared Jonkman will look to defend his title. Jonkman and New Carlisle's Koby Keck are the only participants in the field who have won an ORWBL Home Run Derby before. The winner of this year's Home Run Derby will earn a cash prize of $50. Like last year, the Derby will stay with the bracket style format with 1 minute timed rounds.
