NEW CARLISLE- The 2018 All Star teams have been announced as the 12 ORWBL All Star Game will take place on Saturday, June 16th at the historic Migley Field. This will be the 12th consecutive season that the All Star festivities will be taking place at the Friendly confines. 2018 Dates and Schedule announced
LA PORTE- With the 2017 World Series now 3 months in the rear view mirror, it is that time to start preparing for another year of ORWBL action. Commissioner Alex Friedman announced that the league would return to operating under a 24 game Regular season schedule with all teams making the playoffs once again (Unless a team has to forfeit a series.) ORWBL to return to 24 game schedule in 2018
Commissioner Alex Friedman has announced that the league will operate under a 24 game regular season schedule next season. In 2017, teams played a 30 game schedule but with all of the tournaments in the area, the league office decided that it would be best to go back to the 24 game schedule in 2018. Familiar Territory: Newts advance to NLCS after epic series win over South Bend
NEW CARLISLE- Back before the season started, New Carlisle's Koby Keck and South Bend's Anthony Rieff competed in a bidding war for the Cult West core. While it was the Newts who were able to bring the core to New Carlisle, South Bend was able to steal a few of the others from Cult West. Wild Card Results
LA PORTE- The 2016 ORWBL postseason kicked off Sunday afternoon with 4 Wild Card Games played at 4 different sites. All 4 teams that won their division played host to the respective Wild Card teams. Over in LaPorte, things got started early as the Bourissa Hills Pterodactyls took care of business with a 9-3 win over the Great Lakes Godfathers. Their Wild Card win sets up a rematch of the 2014 ALDS where the Dactyls' shocked Maple City taking the series in 3 games. Meanwhile


National League wins All Star Game, Home Field Advantage
NEW CARLISLE- After a 2 year stretch of no NL/AL All Star Game, ORWBL teams gathered at Migley Field in hopes of capturing home field advantage for their respective league. In the first All Star Game between the AL and NL since 2013, it was Koby Keck's National League All Star team that ran away with things on Thursday night. NEW CARLISLE- For the first time in ORWBL history, fans had the chance to make their vote heard for the Last Man In vote which was on twitter for a 2 day period. NEW CARLISLE- The majority of the National League and American League All Star teams were announced on Saturday as manager voting decided the first 14 spots on each respective side. Manager voting decided who would start on the mound as well as 4 Outfielder/Utility spots. There was no voting for the catcher position.
