Feds quit after elimination

WILLS TOWNSHIP - The Old Republic Whiffle Ball League will be looking for at least one new team in 2014, as the Wills Township Federalists will not return next season. Feds manager Tony Koch informed the Commissioner's Office immediately after the team was swept out of the postseason by the New Carlisle Newts.

The Federalists entered the league in 2010, under the name We've Got The Runs. They switched to the Wills Township Federalists the following season. WTF enjoyed the majority of its success under former manager and current Maple City Magic ace Shane Anderson. In each of their first two years, the Federalists captured the National League pennant. However, they were swept in the World Series by the Sour Wowers both times.
