'Dactyls eliminated by Warriors in surprise playoff bid
NEW CARLISLE - Sitting at 1-3 after Saturday's pool play games, the Bourissa Hills Pterodactyls had no expectations of playing on Championship Sunday. However, when Ruth's Plus One dropped out of their spot in the Hometown Cup Playoffs, the 'Dactyls, sitting at #33, were ready to fill in.
Unfortunately, their Sunday experience didn't last very long as the top overall seed and eventual champion Cult West Warriors eliminated the Pterodactyls in the first round.
Bourissa Hills took consolation in having a great time at the Hometown Cup Finals as spectators, helping fill Migley Field and creating an electric atmosphere for the showdown of the final four teams.
