Heat fall in the Regional Final

NEW CARLISLE - For the second straight year, the Hudson Lake Heat fell just short of Wiffleball's Grandest Stage. The Heat were eliminated by ORWBL rival Maple City Magic in the Bourissa Hills Regional Final with a trip to Migley on the line.

In 2014, the Heat knocked off the ISWB Moonshots in an upset before falling to the Clutch Players, 8-5, at The Palace of Bourissa Hills.

This year followed a similar path. Despite only going 2-2 in pool play on Saturday, Hudson Lake pulled off another upset, eliminating regional #1 seed The Muffs in the Sweet Sixteen. Unfortunately for the Heat, the bats went silent in the Regional Final, as Shane Anderson of the Magic threw a perfect game to end the Heat's Migley dreams.
