Hudson Lake stays hot with Sweep over Cabo

VALPARAISO- After a slow start to the season, Hudson Lake seems to be hitting their stride as we have hit the midway point of the 2016 season. The talented young squad has been one of the best offensive teams so far, and has shown improved defensive play as well.

Having Ben McDonald back in the lineup has been a game changer as the Heat star has this team right on the heals of the Jet City Junkballers. As we have hit the midway point, Hudson Lake (8-4) trails Jet City (10-2) by 2 games.

Taking a look ahead, the AL West could be decided on the final day of the regular season as both teams will meet up to close out the regular season. The Heat will look to stay hot next week as they will take on the (4-8) Olive Township Mechanics.

As for the Cabo Yabos, it was not an ideal way to end the first half of the season. Cabo now sits at 5-7, trailing the Newts by 2 games in the NL East. Cabo Manager Grant Duncan will be getting married over what will be an extended All Star Break for the Yabos, so they will have some extra time to get into mid season form. Cabo is still in position to give the Newts a run for their money in the National League East.
