2018 Dates and Schedule announced

LA PORTE- With the 2017 World Series now 3 months in the rear view mirror, it is that time to start preparing for another year of ORWBL action.

Commissioner Alex Friedman announced that the league would return to operating under a 24 game Regular season schedule with all teams making the playoffs once again (Unless a team has to forfeit a series.)

For the first time, ORWBL will be operating with 14 teams which sets the previous league high of 12 which has somewhat been the norm' for ORWBL.

With 14 teams, there will no longer be 4 Divisions. The league will continue to utilize the traditional AL/NL format with 7 teams representing each league. Each team will play all other 6 teams in their league as well as 2 Inter-league series which will total up to a 24 game regular season.

Before, we take a look at the dates and schedule, here is how the playoff format will shape up. The top 2 teams in each league will continue to earn a first round bye and will host the winner of the Wild Card one game playoff.

The only change is that the #6 and #7 seed in each league will essentially play a play in game with the winner immediately playing their Wild Card Game against the #3 overall seed.

And without further ado, here is the complete 2018 ORWBL Schedule! Reminder, all Sunday games are scheduled for 1:00pm ET. If two teams agree on a time that works better for both teams that is fine, but the games must be played on the scheduled dates. The few Thursday games that are scheduled should be played at 6:00pm ET.
