Ex Father, Panther, Jeremy Ross looks to silence the doubters as he has been named the Mallards skip
NEW CARLISLE- After an impressive Rookie campaign, Jeremy Ross has officially been names as the Manager for the Lake Michigan Mallards. In his first season in the league, Ross proved that he has the potential to be a future All Star in the league.
After missing out on entering Triple Crown into the league in 2016, Ross decided to sign with the Great Lakes Godfathers. Ross certainly played a role in the improvements that were made by the Godfathers in 2017.
In 25 Games, Ross smacked 32 Home Runs but struggled mightily on the mound, going 2-13. The rest of the Godfathers staff went a combined 9-6.
However, due to his hitting and fielding abilities, Granger made their move by trading a wiffleball bat to the Godfathers in exchange for Ross's services. There were some rumors floating around that Ross and the the Godfathers Management were not on the same page which may have had a role in the trade.
After being shipped to Granger, Ross showed his versatility in the field as well as his power potential at the plate. He played a vital part in Granger's success in the National League Division Series as he arguably was their top hitter on that day.
As 2018 is right around the corner, Jeremy Ross is thrilled to have this opportunity to manage his own franchise. There is certainly a lot of mystery behind one of the newest teams in ORWBL. While Ross is definitely looking to turn heads in his 2nd season in the league, the roster still remains at question.
Ross's first move was signing Michael Forrester who figures to be his right hand man. This duo will look to lead a team of Rookies and unknowns to the promise land in what will certainly be a difficult task.
However, Jeremy Ross was quoted saying: "We are a team with no expectations and expect to be overlooked by many opponents. It will be interesting to see how this young team comes together in a push to show people that the new generation of Wiffleball has a lot of players still left to be discovered."
While the Mallards first season may be a challenging one, there is no doubt that Jeremy Ross is more determined than ever to lead this team and is the right man for the job.
