The Silver Sluggers are located on the South Shore of the St. Joseph River and are primarily
made up of the remnants of the 2017 Hometown Days Cinderella Team, A Case of The Wiffles.
The Manager of our ball club is 18-year- old South Bend native, Adam Cseh.
The Sluggers look to be competitive in their first year of league Wiffle Ball play. We would like to thank the ORBWL Commissioner Alex Friedman, for the opportunity to play in such a prestigious and competitive league, that we believe is one the best in Wiffle Ball.
We believe we can be one of the top half teams in the Old Republic Wiffleball League and hope to develop our skills to make not only ourselves better, but the whole league better. With that being said here are some players to watch out for from the Silver Sluggers:
1. Tyler Schupert- OF- Tyler had a stellar Hometown days tournament, batting .405 with 6
Homeruns and 12 RBI’s. He also exhibits great speed and catching ability in the outfield.
We are looking for Tyler to be a huge contributor and potential Rookie of the year
2. Nathan Marino- P- Nate had a solid Hometown Days Tournament on the bump for us
last year, and we look towards him to be our ace for this upcoming season. We look for
him to continue to develop his pitches and are fairly confident he will have a stellar
season on the hill.
3. Adam Cseh- C/P- Cseh had a solid Hometown Days Tournament last season. He batted
.397 with 5 Home Runs and 13 RBIs. We look to Cseh to step up at the plate and be a
force at the plate.
4. Dan Marino- DH- Dan had a clutch Hometown Days Tournament last year. Whenever
we got a big hit, RBI, or Home Run, Dan was almost always the one at the plate. Dan has
tremendous power, hitting 8 Home Runs during the tournament. We need him to step
up big and be our biggest contributor at the plate. He is a man to watch out for as a potential
league leader in Home Runs in 2018.
The Rest of the Silver Slugger Roster is made up of Free Agents, (P/OF) Conner Mowers, (OF)
Robbie Sink, (OF) Luke Krizman, (OF) Dominic Krizman, and (Utility) Jack Tiller.
We look forward to the upcoming season and to our opening day series in our inaugural ORWBL
games at Lynn Street. We are looking to make a big splash in the league this upcoming season.
