Brycen Strauch buys Golden Showers franchise, changes the team name to Union Mills Goon Squad

UNION MILLS- After a 3-21 inaugural season in 2018, the Gardena Golden Showers were struggling to find guys to shower up. With concerns inside management growing, Manager Caleb Martin contacted the league office.

Just one day later, a group led by Brycen Strauch purchased the franchise. Strauch and his players have competed in the Hometown Days Tournament and will now be looking to see what they can accomplish in the Old Republic Wiffleball League.

Strauch announced that the team would be named the Union Mills Goon Squad. This young team seems very excited for the sudden opportunity and will look to have a successful inaugural season as a member of the league.

The Goon squad will simply replace Gardena as they will be joining the American League West along with the Hudson Lake Heat, Twin Branch Billy Goats, and County Line Kings.

This will be the first ORWBL team based in Union Mills. Strauch announced that the following players will also be on the roster:

-Zach Christy

-Jake Osburn

-Andrew Karsten

-Evan Walters

-Stephen Dial

-Brendan Carr
