Wiffle Stick Park is one of the newest parks in the league and increases the standard by which all fields are judged.
Inside Wiffle Stick Park
One of the crown jewel ballparks of the ORWBL, Wiffle Stick Park ushered in a new era of expansion for the league in 2015. With its tenants, the Bertrand Bombers, the league now reaches north of the border into Michigan.
Wiffle Stick opened for ORWBL action on May 17, 2015 with a high profile opponent, as the Cult West Warriors visited the Bombers for a three-game series. The eventual 2015 ORWBL Champions walked away with a sweep in the opener.
However, the Bombers found their first home win in their next home game, a 3-0 victory over the Spicer Lake Soggy Bottom Boys.
The backyard park features towering foul poles, a well-manicured playing surface and painted foul lines. The outfield wall takes on a very patriotic theme, while a large Bertrand Bombers logo adorns the backstop.
