We are less than two weeks away from the start of the 2020 ORWBL regular season which means it's time to take a closer look into all 14 ORWBL teams. After a longer offseason than usual due to the Covid-19 outbreak, it looks as though we should finally be ready to go on May 31st barring any setbacks. Newts Complete the Sweep Over the Mechanics to Win the NL Pennant!
OLIVE TOWNSHIP - Despite falling short in The Wiffle®Ball Championship Game at Hometown Days, the New Carlisle Newts season is still not over. The Newts won the National League pennant by completing a three-game sweep of the Olive Township Mechanics with a 22-20 victory in 7 innings on Sunday. New Carlisle took the first two games of the series, 7-2 and 10-3, at Migley Field on July 14. After a long break for the major tournament season, the series resumed with the Mechanics

Newts Take 2-0 NLCS Lead
NEW CARLISLE - It was finally a good day for the home team at Migley Field, as the New Carlisle Newts continued their hot start in the 2019 Old Republic Wiffle®Ball League Playoffs on Sunday afternoon. The Newts grabbed Games 1 and 2 of the National League Championship Series against the Mechanics, 7-2 and 10-3. It was a total team effort for the New Carlisle club. Mechanics Advance to NLCS
OLIVE TOWNSHIP - The two-seeded Olive Township Mechanics (16-8) advanced to the National League Championship Series after defeating the three-seeded Elkhart BFAM (19-5) in two games. With the win, the Mechanics will advance to their first league championship series with and are just three wins away from their first World Series appearance. 2019 Home Run Derby Participants Announced
NEW CARLISLE- Prior to the All Star Game, the 13th ORWBL Home Run Derby will take place starting at 6:00pm ET on Saturday, June 15th. Maple City's Jared Jonkman will look to defend his title. Jonkman and New Carlisle's Koby Keck are the only participants in the field who have won an ORWBL Home Run Derby before. The winner of this year's Home Run Derby will earn a cash prize of $50. Like last year, the Derby will stay with the bracket style format with 1 minute timed rounds.

2019 All-Star Voting Results

Mechanics Sweep Kings in Soggy Series
ROLLING PRAIRIE - After dropping five of their previous six games, the Olive Township Mechanics (11-7) bounced back to sweep the County Line Kings (8-10) at Rick Bloode Ballpark with scores of: 7-4, 7-6, and 12-5.
