LA PORTE - For the third time in four years, the New Carlisle Newts reign supreme in the Old Republic Wiffle Ball League. New Carlisle completed a sweep of the Maple City Magic on Wednesday, winning 14-10 in Game 3 and 11-2 in Game 4. Game 3 was a back and forth battle, with the Newts grabbing an early 7-2 lead. NEW CARLISLE- The 2016 ORWBL MVP's were announced on Wednesday. In the American League, it was first time winner Bob Bushman of the Heat and in the National League, Garrett Curless of the Newts. Bushman, who's a 3rd year player for Hudson Lake had an incredible breakout season, hitting .564 with 43 HR, 64 RBI.
