Gorny resigns, Dobkins takes over
NEW CARLISLE- The DeweyDactyls Era didn't last long for Bourissa Hills. After 6-15 start
through 21 games, Gorny has resigned as manager of the club. Gorny made the announcement immediately following Sunday's 15-5 loss to the crosstown rival Newts. Speculation that a change could be made began Friday night as frustration with the team's slow start mounted. After winning four of their first five games, the 'Dactyls have gone just 2-14 since. The slide included a 10-game losing streak. Nick Dobkins will take over as manager. Dobkins holds a .438 AVG with 17 HR and 36 RBI this season. He is the only Pterodactyls player to appear in all 21 games. Gorny is expected to remain with the team as a player.
