NEW CARLISLE- The 2016 ORWBL MVP's were announced on Wednesday. In the American League, it was first time winner Bob Bushman of the Heat and in the National League, Garrett Curless of the Newts. Bushman, who's a 3rd year player for Hudson Lake had an incredible breakout season, hitting .564 with 43 HR, 64 RBI. HUDSON LAKE- The American League Championship Series kicked off on Wednesday night as the Maple City Magic traveled to Pine Park for Games 1 and 2 against the Hudson Lake Heat. NEW CARLISLE- After taking down Lynn Street in the 1 game Wild Card, #3 Hudson Lake came in ready to roll over the shorthanded Junkballers who were without MVP and Cy Young candidate Nate Arndt. Wild Card Results
LA PORTE- The 2016 ORWBL postseason kicked off Sunday afternoon with 4 Wild Card Games played at 4 different sites. All 4 teams that won their division played host to the respective Wild Card teams. Over in LaPorte, things got started early as the Bourissa Hills Pterodactyls took care of business with a 9-3 win over the Great Lakes Godfathers. National League wins All Star Game, Home Field Advantage
NEW CARLISLE- After a 2 year stretch of no NL/AL All Star Game, ORWBL teams gathered at Migley Field in hopes of capturing home field advantage for their respective league. 2016 All-Star Teams Announced
NEW CARLISLE- The majority of the National League and American League All Star teams were announced on Saturday as manager voting decided the first 14 spots on each respective side. Manager voting decided who would start on the mound as well as 4 Outfielder/Utility spots. There was no voting for the catcher position.
